A rare gem

Not often I hear music labeled "inudstrial" that hits the nail on the head so perfectly. Usually it's just a series of dissonant noise or techno that was too terrible to be called techno.

This is one of those rare gems made by someone who knows what industrial is all about: successful fusion of ambience and beat! You get a metaphorical high five in the form of a 10/10 and a 5! Keep up the good work!

Dungeecount responds:

Thank you :D I probably don't know all about industrial, I usually start off with random noises that I like. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Glad you liked it though :D

Finally, some REAL industrial

This is what industrial is all about. Too many times have I checked the industrial list to find it flooded with wannabe techno or Drum n' Bass.

Only thing this is lacking is some kind of background music... or maybe foreground music, I dunno, I'm not a musician, I couldn't accurately tell you, but it's just an inch away from perfection!

Being-Glass responds:

I know exactly what you mean... Cheers mate!

as said below I have been working on a remix of this on and off for months now and I cant seem to make sounds that compliment and can keep to the pacing of the drums.

Nostalgia...

My Grandfather refers to "Good ol' fashioned fun" whenever he references the fact that children entertained themselves when he was a kid by beating eachother with sticks. When I have grandchildren, I'll be using "Good ol' fashioned fun" to refer to things like Golden Sun 1 & 2.

Thanks for that blast from the past! You get a 10 and 5 for great style and perfect execution!

CelestOrion responds:

When I'm older, I'll still be beating people with sticks.

Glad you liked the tune!

Can you say nostalgia?

This song leads me to believe you are related to one of the musical composers who worked on Dynamite Headdy. You're THAT good at this.

Evan-Kaminari responds:

Well, the funny thing is - no I'm not. Nor have I heard any music from Dynamite Headdy. :3

Not too shabby

Although the strings make it sound more Pirate-sea-shantyish than Steampunk, even with the clinks and tha clanks. Still, a nice tune all around, makes me think of a cloudless day on some clockwork beach.

Snooglebum responds:

A clockwork beach? That's a pretty cool image.

Thanks for the review!

Ooooh!

First off, I agree with the below about techno. It's boring and well, crap. Keep doing this kind of ELO-ish type thing. I'd suggest moving into Drum n' Bass or industrial isntead of techno, those are both far more interesting.

CelestOrion responds:

Thanks for the great review! I'm trying to broaden my range of skills, so that I can make some original songs for the Audio Portal, as well. I think Drum n' Bass was my next field to work on, but thanks! ^_^

Excellent!

I didn't realize there was an audio section to newgrounds till now, glad the first one I found was great!

Very atmospheric, yet it also makes me wanna bob my head along with the beats.
Only problem I have is the transitions, a little long, but it's pretty minor for me as I can slice it shorter with some aaudio editing software I have.

10 + RESPECT. And DL'd for my iPod.

ganon95 responds:

lol this is the first song you heard on newgrounds?
